U.S. Marine Corps Request Suggests Dems Will Win

The Marines want to swap their guys in Iraq for about the same number of Army guys in Afghanistan. The boys with stars on their shoulders now must make noises about mission, balance, and getting the job done more effectively. They will ponder. They will propose. They are getting antsy about 2008. They may be telling us that the Dems will win. Lets face it, if the Dems win and all your soldiers are in Iraq, then it may well be no more combat for you. However, if your guys are in Afghanistan, then the appropriations for combat will increase. The Marines want to make sure they get their place at the military industrial complex smorgasbord in 2008.
